How To Build Muscle - Top Websites Reviewed

It's all too common to see people spending hour after hour exhausting themselves at the gym with no real result, or even worse causing injury due to poor technique. The key to successful muscle training is knowing what exercises actually work, what popular exercises actually destroy muscle gain, and having a plan before stepping into the gym. Below we've reviewed four of the top online muscle building guides, all written by accomplished bodybuilders. Our number one guide is The Musclehead as it uses only the most effective training techniques, and comes loaded with information on nutrition and all aspects of muscle building you need to be aware of during your training. Coming in at a close second is The Muscle Gain Truth as it also provides an airtight step-by-step system to achieving your goals quickly and effectively.

The Musclehead's Guide To A Godlike Physique

If you're ready for fast, intense muscle growth, the Musclehead is the man to talk to. He may be a little arrogant, but he knows his stuff. His guide tells it how it is, he knows what exercises work, what doesn't, and possibly the most important section on what you should be doing, and what you must stop doing to make the most of your training efforts outside of gym time.

The main book covers everything from nutrition to mental preparation, warm ups, intensity and progression of your training, the importance of recording your progress and much more. The actual training schedule and exercise archive are separate, so you can print one or both out and take them to the gym with you. This is by far and away the most comprehensive A-Z guide for correctly and safely building muscle, and seeing the fastest possible results from your training.

Muscle Gain Truth

The Muscle Gain Truth is the culmination of bodybuilding veteran Sean Nalewanyj's years of bodybuilding experience and research, claiming the title of 2006's Number 1 Selling Body Makeover Program.

This guide takes a slightly more technical approach to building muscle, something you soon get used to. First Sean takes a look at muscle building in general, what's actually happening when you lift weights and why "Concentric Muscular Failure" is essential to maximum muscle gain. An interesting aspect of the package is Sean's section on creating your own workout schedule, so you can customize your training to your specific sport or muscle gain needs. Although we rated the package at number two, it's still miles ahead of some of the other resources available online. Sean clearly knows his stuff, and presents the information in great detail, making it simple for anyone to follow, no matter how little training experience you've had.

Muscle Gaining Secrets

After signing up to Muscle Gaining Secrets the first thing you'll notice is that you get ALOT of information. In all, you get 13 books looking at various aspects of muscle building. Although some of the information is really valuable, I get the feeling that some of the books and information have been added just to bulk up the package. The best parts of the package are the main 'Muscle Gaining Secrets' book, and the detailed 'Maximum Mass' 34 week muscle building program, as they do go into great detail to ensure you do the exercises right first time!

All in all this is a good solid workout plan, with a ton of great instruction, it's just a matter of weeding through the less-valuable information to get there.

Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle

Although this book's main focus is on being a fat burning method, it does include some excellent information on safely and naturally building muscle.

This book looks at all aspects of living a healthy lifestyle, how to eat the right foods to shed weight as well as foods that ensure you're getting enough energy to make the most of each day and build muscle. Tom's impressive list of bodybuilding achievements and his enthusiasm for building a strong, healthy core clearly comes through as you read the chapters of his book. Although this isn't a stand alone muscle building book, I recommend reading it to accompany the above resources.
